The National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced grant opportunities for HSIs to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and infrastructure. The purpose of the grants is to enhance the quality of undergraduate STEM education and to increase the recruitment, retention, and graduation rates of students pursuing associate's or baccalaureate degrees in STEM. Proposals submitted to NSF will be considered under the three categories below. The grants will be distinguished by the below criteria:

The Office of Research publishes two newsletters during the academic year; a fall and spring edition. Humboldt State University established the Alistair and Judith McCrone Graduate Fellowship Fund in October 2001. The fund was created to honor Dr. and Mrs. McCrone, who together shepherded Humboldt State University and its students for over a quarter of a century. Wednesday, November 17 from 3 - 5pm in GH 218 and virtual (hsu.link/ZpK [case sensitive]), UPD, local area law enforcement, and the campus community will be having an open forum to talk about progress made to address student, staff, faculty and community safety concerns. This will also be a space for students, staff and faculty to share how the Campus Safety and Policing Committee, UPD and area law enforcement can better serve our community and increase a sense of safety for all members of the community.
