Open Forum Dates for Director of Admissions Candidates- Please Attend

I am hoping you saw the campus communication about the open forums for the Director of Admissions candidates that went out yesterday. I am also including the information here in the hopes that we will have a robust turnout from academic affairs.

The search committee invites you to attend the open forums for candidates for the position of Director of Admissions on Friday, September 1, Tuesday, September 5, and Thursday, September 7, 2023. All sessions will take place from noon – 12:45 p.m. (PST) in LIB 201 (Library Fishbowl). Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and tactical implementation of student recruitment, yield, and admissions to achieve the goals outlined in the university's strategic enrollment plan. Thank you in advance for your attendance and feedback to assist us with selecting Cal Poly Humboldt’s next Director of Admissions!

Reminder Call for Interest in Serving on Graduate Studies Task Force Due Tomorrow

As a reminder, I announced at the Academic Affairs Welcome Back that one of our three Academic Affairs strategic priorities this year will be focused on developing a strategic plan for graduate studies at Cal Poly Humboldt. The idea is to continue to elevate the student experience and evaluate strengths and opportunities in this domain. I will be forming a task force to complete this work and am asking interested people to submit their names to OAAVP@humboldt.edu by tomorrow August 31, 2023. Everyone who expresses interest in joining the task force will be notified by September 11, 2023, whether they have been offered a spot on the task force or not. I predict we will have more interest than there is room to accommodate but will ensure that everyone has a chance to contribute in meaningful ways.
