Hi everyone,


I hope your week is going well. There is a lot of energy on campus with various faculty, administrator and staff searches going on. I wanted to acknowledge both the excitement around these searches as well as the work required to pull off a successful search. Thanks to each of you engaged in our various searches in Academic Affairs and across the campus community. And, on the topic of searches:


Internal Search for Associate Dean, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences

All-campus Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professional Development Event

On Monday, March 6th from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in Goodwin Forum (Nelson Hall East, Room 102) all students, faculty, and staff are invited to an engaging presentation by Cal Poly Humboldt alumni, acclaimed athlete, and global diversity, equity, and inclusion leader, Eddie Pate: "Thinking through Inclusion, diversity, and equity--a tempered radical approach". 


This all-campus event is sponsored by the Athletics’ Social Equity & Accountability (SEA) Committee and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Eddie’s expertise lies in helping drive strategic focus on DEI to help individuals, teams, and organizations thrive. 


Speed Networking Virtual Event: Everything Food Edition!

Cal Poly Humboldt Sponsored Programs Foundation invites faculty and staff to a virtual speed networking event on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Meet and connect in a fun, fast-paced Zoom event where you'll bounce from breakout room to breakout room to discuss research and project ideas. This event is open to staff and faculty involved with any and all food studies related disciplines from agriculture to journalism for an opportunity to expand your network and to provide an interdisciplinary lens for future collaboration.
