Provost Communication, Monday, March 27, 2023

Hello everyone and happy Monday once again. I can’t believe this is the last week in March. It sure seems as though the semester is flying by!

Congratulations: Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program Recipients

Congratulations to Iván González-Soto and Skye H. Choi who were recently selected from Cal Poly Humboldt for recommendation into the Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program. The goal of the California State University Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program (CDIP) is to increase the number of faculty with the qualifications, motivation, and skills needed to teach the diverse students of the CSU. CDIP prepares promising doctoral students for CSU faculty positions by providing financial support, mentorship by CSU faculty, and professional development and grant resources. It is the largest program of its kind in the United States.

Teaching Excellence Symposium Call for Proposals & Registration

As Humboldt reimagines itself as a polytechnic institution, educators continue to create innovative ways to further learning excellence within and across the disciplines. This year’s symposium celebrates this creativity. The Center for Teaching & Learning is excited to host a collegial space to explore and celebrate all that educators do to support students at Humboldt.

Join your colleagues on Friday, April 28th, 2023 from 11 am-2 pm in the Authors’ Hall on the second floor of the library. Lunch will be provided to registered attendees. Hear from a panel of educators on how they are imagining their work within a polytechnic, followed by engaging print and interactive digital posters on display for colleagues to connect with one another and learn more about what we as a Cal Poly campus are doing to further teaching excellence.

Click Here to Submit a Proposal by Friday, March 31st, 2023.

Click Here to Register for the Event by Thursday, April 27, 2023.

Have an awesome Monday!
