Hello everyone and happy Wednesday. I hope that you all are having a great week.

Nominations being accepted for Staff Recognition Awards

Staff Council and the Office of the President are welcoming nominations of both state and auxiliary employees for Staff Recognition awards to support the recognition of the strengths and achievements of individual nominees, especially highlighting areas of innovation, mentorship, service, resource stewardship/sustainability, and ethics/social justice. These awards are not for students, management, or faculty employees, nor are the current members of the Staff Council eligible. Nominations for outstanding staff members should be from their achievements during the 2021-2022 academic year. Nominations should be submitted using our Online Nomination Form. The nomination deadline is Friday, December 16, 2022, by 5:00 pm.

The Humboldt Chorale and University Singers will perform a program called "Possibility and Belonging" on Friday, December 9, 2022

It is a beautiful program, and they are excited to share this performance with you. The concert will be on Friday, December 9 at 8:00 pm in Fulkerson Recital Hall. Social Justice Summit 2023 - Call for Proposals

The 29th annual Social Justice Summit (SJS) is this Spring, March 1st - March 3rd. The goal and purpose of SJS is to amplify BIPOC, queer, and other intersectional voices and experiences, and to hold safe & compassionate spaces for students. This year's theme is Surviving & Thriving, a changed version of the phrase “thrive, not survive.” Marginalized students generally live in a state of survival where they simply exist without being able to flourish, creating and worsening mental health conditions. Thriving is growth, flourishing, and prosperity. This year's theme will discuss these topics, how they can co-exist, provide opportunities for thriving, and more. The deadline for proposals is Friday, December 17, 2022, with a possible extension into January. Please use this Proposal Form and save the date!

Have a wonderful rest of your week.
