Provost's Communication - September 14, 2022

Hello everyone,

Happy Wednesday. I hope the week has been treating you well. The weather has been lovely and it appears there is a hint of fall creeping into the air and the landscape. I hope each of you is settling into the semester. There are numerous events and engagement opportunities available and I will highlight a few.

Sponsored Programs Foundation’s 70th Anniversary

Can you believe that the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs Foundation is celebrating its 70th Anniversary? Wow! You are invited to join them at Septentrio Winery, where they will be hosting an all-Colleges staff & faculty mixer. There will be food, drinks, and live music. The event is taking place Thursday, September 29th from 4:30-7:00 pm. To RSVP, click here. If you have any questions, please contact Erika Wright, Research Development Lead at erika.wright@humboldt.edu.-

CSU System Graduation Initiative 2025 Convening

The CSU is pleased to invite you to this year’s virtual Graduation Initiative 2025 Convening to be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 11:00 am to noon. This year’s CSU Graduation Initiative 2025 Convening theme, Transformational Change One Student at a Time, reminds us that even the smallest of actions have a big impact on our students' lives. This annual gathering is a unique opportunity for the CSU community to celebrate our collective efforts to support student success. At the center of those collective efforts are our students who embody the CSU spirit and persevere to achieve their goals. Their inspirational stories remind us that regardless of our role on campus – whether as faculty, staff or administrator – we make a positive impact on our students' lives. At the convening, you will hear from our students who will share their stories of success through the CSU – and highlight those who have helped them along the way! You can register at www.calstate.edu/GradInitiative2025Convening or visit the event website for more event details.
